Regresion sessions is set to return to Antwerp Mansion on May 27, with stilt-walkers, fire-dancers and confetti cannons creating a festival vibe inside the Rusholme nightclub.
However, this time around it will be of a Land of Nod theme, which will see a bespoke set built at the venue with trippy, dream-like lighting and Alice in Wonderland-style psychedelic decorations, set to a soundtrack of house, techno and drum and bass.
According to organisers, the aim is to return you to an earlier stage in the psyche when everything was simple and it was easy to have fun.
“We promise to offer regressive experiences from bouncy castles and ball pits and plasticine therapy, to surrealist giant knitting and student art exhibitions. But we ARE all technically adults, and we say why not program this madness with constant bangers from house, garage, hip hop, drum & bass, soul, disco.”
The forthcoming Manchester event is part of the London-based club night’s fifth birthday celebrations, which also include dates in Leeds and Bristol and stage takeovers at festivals such as Secret Garden Party and We Are FSTVAL.
Tickets are now on sale for the Manchester night , priced at £10 (rising to £20 nearer to the event).
